2 States Wedding In Lucknow With A Pretty Cultural Mix

BY Sakshi | 04 Sep, 2023 | 2843 views | 3 min read

When the groom is a Punjabi and the bride is from Kerala, what do you do? Well, you do what Krishna and Kanav did- they had 2 weddings embracing both their cultures, and we loved how each and every function felt like a party! From an elegant Malyali wedding in hues of white and gold to being a contemporary Sabya bride in red, their wedding that happened in Lucknow is definitely one worth taking inspiration from!

Meet Krishna and Kanav

"We met at a mutual friend's party in Dubai", the bride tells us.

From The Bride:

Our wedding took place on February 27, 2023. Kanav is Punjabi and I am from Kerala. We wanted the wedding to be a fun mix of both our cultures. Although our families live in Dubai, we were very particular that the wedding be in Lucknow, Kanav's hometown where we have our most cherished memories and incorporate as many local elements as possible.

Vendor Reviews

Venue: Taj Mahal Hotel, Lucknow

With picturesque Nawabi architecture (and food!), it captures the essence of Lucknow - it was everything we wanted :)

Makeup Artist: Samaira Sandhu

She is very talented and professional.

Wedding Planning: Baraati Inc

We had a great experience with Baraati. They really understood the requirements of our cross cultural wedding and stitched a beautiful event together!

Absolutely amazing team who really went above and beyond. Lakshya and the team were so accommodating and organized. Although we are camera shy, they made us feel so comfortable and made sure we had fun the whole time! We will forever treasure the beautiful photos.

Bridal Outfits:

I worked with stylist (@vani2790) to put together my looks. Seamless service by all, wonderful experience!

Bridal Jewellery for the (punjabi) wedding and Haldi are from Amrapali. The jewellery for Kerala rituals are all family heirlooms.

Groomwear:

Groom's wedding wear is from Sabyasachi. Sangeet fit from Dolce and Gabbana. The rest are handmade by local chikankari artisans in Lucknow.
