Gorgeous backdrops, stunning decor, excellent candid photography, and an impeccably dressed bride & groom - this Delhi wedding had all the makings of a glam celebration. We loved how Avika dressed up in such pin-worthy outfits, and how Dhruv complimented her in each and every function. The whole vibe was one of love and laughter and it shined through in screenshot-worthy shots captured by Sam and Ekta. Adding the cherry on top were flawless looks that Bianca Louzado created for Avika. We are sure you're gonna love saving this wedding as much as we loved featuring it!
Meet Avika & Dhruv
We have been in the same school since we were 4, and started dating in the 12th grade. Dhruv and I did 8 years of long distance, I was in America for college and Singapore for work, while Dhruv was in Delhi. So after so many years of bbm, skype, whatsapp video, we decided that we will only get engaged once we are in the same city, so there he was in Singapore for a 6-month long transfer in 2018. I had guessed that the proposal would happen around then but didn’t expect it to be 3 days after he landed in Singapore!

Our wedding was a 5-day RAGER with lots and lots of love. Our friends and families were absolutely incredible. Dhruv and I have never felt this much love and gratitude in our lives, we have also not partied harder than we did in the 5-day long celebration, where each event went on till 4/5 am!!
Starting from the youngsters - The concept of the youngsters was that of an intimate sit-down drinking games night with speeches turning into a crazy party with dancing on table-tops, similar to the concept of bagatelle in New York! We then had the sangeet with a full dance performance and lots of dancing and drinking. Dhruv's haldi which was supposed to be a relaxed event, went on till 7 am! And then we had a sundowner mehendi, which went from 4pm to 4am! Finally, the wedding - we all were ready to take it easy, but once the pheras ended, the party began again!!

Makeup Artist: Bianca Louzado
For me, my make-up was one of the things I was most stressed about, and I could not have been happier with Bianca Louzado. Make sure your artist isn’t just good at the actual make up, but also understands what YOU need. The nerves are super high while getting ready and for someone like me who barely uses make up I wasn’t used to seeing so many products on my face, but Bianca and her team eased me into all of it so well, and her positivity helped me feel even more confident.

Sam & Ekta were absolutely amazing – what stood out to me most was their natural vibe, they felt like friends. Seeing the photos made me feel like I re-lived my wedding again. They managed to capture such intimate moments of not only emotions but the drunk and crazy moments too!! By the end of the wedding, Dhruv and my friends texted Sam and Ekta to tell them how amazing they were!! Also Fotowalle - The Story folks, who covered the pictures of our sangeet, as with the date change Sam and Ekta were unable to make it. They were so accommodating and super fun and easy to work with. They did an incredible job with the pictures, capturing all the guests, family and dhruv and my portraits thoroughly.

They were a dream team and were amazing. With the youngsters date change etc they changed the decor within 24 hrs and all the events looked like a dream. From an annabelled themed youngsters, to an elegant floral mehendi look and then a deep maroon velvet wedding day with elements of gods scattered across. Devika Sakhuja did the decor for the sangeet did an incredible job too - who also managed to totally change the look of the Hyatt ballroom with the library bar etc.! We were super happy with all our vendors!

Don’t try and do everything, get a wedding planner on board, they will make everything much simpler and easier; our wedding planners were incredible, super on-point, detail oriented, helpful and made sure we didn’t miss anything. They honestly made sure I felt like a princess on each day of the wedding celebrations.
