Adi and I were incredibly fortunate to avoid most of the wedding planning stress, thanks to our amazing parents who took on the responsibility with so much heart and care. Every detail, from the big picture to the smallest finishing touches, was thoughtfully discussed and refined, making the entire celebration feel deeply personal and intentional. Music was the soul of our wedding weekend. A curated lineup of five exceptional artists, two energetic DJs, and unforgettable live performances brought each event to life. Kutle Khan’s powerful voice filled the air after our pheras, while Knights Club energized the Carnival Brunch with an interactive set that had everyone on their feet. The Sangeet began with The Copycats, a dynamic group known for their lively covers of iconic songs. Music has always been a big part of Adi’s life—his grand-aunt is the legendary Usha Uthup. As a child, he even danced on Boogie Woogie when she was a guest judge, performing to “Badshah,” a song that earned him a nickname she still uses today. One of the most special moments came the morning of our wedding, when Adi and I performed La Vie en Rose at our Garden Party welcome lunch, joined by his grandmother and Usha Masi. Her presence throughout the celebrations, including a powerful duet with Kutle Khan after the wedding, made the entire experience truly unforgettable.
A Treadmill Baraat & Music At Its Core: This Palace Wedding Ate & Left No Crumbs!

Meet Amala and Aditya
"Adi and I met in 6th grade in Mumbai — he’d moved from Hong Kong, and I from New York. We ended up at the same schools, bonded over music, and stayed close through jazz band, musicals, and international trips. After high school, he went to Duke and I to Northwestern. Four years later, we both landed in New York City, reconnected over our love for music, and started dating just before COVID. Two months in, lockdown brought us even closer when Adi moved in with my family. Five years later, we tied the knot — music still at the heart of it all", the bride tells us.

Unique Ideas
- Adi’s Treadmill Baraat
Adi made a bold and personal entrance on a moving treadmill — a nod to his passion for running, which began during the pandemic and led to completing the NYC Marathon in 2024. Creating a safe, mobile treadmill setup for an outdoor venue took serious planning — but the impact made it all worthwhile.
- Breaking Tradition: A Joint Baraat
Instead of just the groom's side, both families were invited to dance and celebrate together — turning the baraat into a joyful, inclusive gathering.
- Amala Wore Her Mom’s 36-Year-Old Wedding Lehenga
For her chooda ceremony, Amala wore her mother’s untouched, perfectly fitting wedding lehenga — a deeply emotional tribute to her. Amala’s mom styled every wedding look — curating outfits for the entire family with her signature mix of elegance and modernity. Wearing the lehenga wasn’t just a fashion choice — it was a celebration of love, legacy, and the unspoken bond between mother and daughter.
Venue: Umaid Bhawan, Jodhpur
Raabta’s work was nothing short of magical. Shrey and his team were a dream to partner with — calm, creative, and incredibly intuitive, they handled every moment with a kind of quiet mastery that let us truly be present and enjoy our weekend. My bridal portraits were a dream come true, even with managing the challenging logistics and tight schedule. I actually took a tumble just minutes before my bridal entry, breaking both my kadas and kaleeras. While initially on the verge of tears, Shrey kept me grounded and calm, even making me laugh by sharing a few sneak peeks of the portraits. One of my favorite memories with Raabta was a spontaneous shoot we did with all 40+ of our friends right before the Sangeet. Shrey effortlessly directed the entire group to sit on the grand steps of Umaid Bhawan leading to the Baradari. The result was this incredibly layered, dynamic wide shot that belonged in a magazine. What also amazed us was how the Raabta team managed to be everywhere at once. Indian weddings can be overwhelming in scale, with so much happening — but thanks to their meticulous coverage, we now have a treasure trove of footage that lets us relive every moment, even those we missed in real time. Raabta gave us more than just photos, they gave us cherished memories, raw emotions, and magic frozen in time. It’s the kind of wedding album we’ll adore forever, one we’ll proudly share with future generations as a timeless record of love, joy, and celebration.
Makeup & Hair: Makeup by Rhea Nagpal

Wedding Planning: A New Knot
Decor: Aura By Gautam Vedi
We’re also grateful to Gautam and the entire Aura team for not only bringing our design vision to life, but also for embracing some of our more unconventional ideas along the way. The result was a truly personal, refreshing, and distinctive experience.
Wedding Content Creator: The Insta Shaadi
If you are thinking about getting a wedding content creator, DO IT! They serve a completely different purpose than your photographer/videographer, and I don't think any bride and groom have ever complained about having TOO much amazing footage and content from the best day/weekend of their lives.
