Laidback Jaipur Wedding With A Chill Vibe

BY Latha Sunadh | 31 Jul, 2017 | 1471 views | 3 min read

This couple kept it simple, fun , and colorful. With simple outfits in bright hues, a ton of color via smoke bombs and a whole lot of fun. And that's one reason why we chose this pretty Jaipur wedding today and not just that, the rani pink lehenga ( as simple as they come!) and the kite decor in pastel hues - all of it, was joyful and fun. Photography by PhotozAapki showcased all this happiness beautifully!

Meet Anubha & Pratham

"We met 3 years ago at a common friend's party, and we clicked instantly (after a few drinks!). Soon after we started dating and before we knew, this fun and casual relationship of ours turned into us wanting to grow old together" explains Anubha.

The Wedding

From The Bride:

"Since our story started over a round of drinks and dance, our agenda for the wedding was that it has to be a lot of fun. Also both of us belong to Jaipur, so we wanted to have an element of our city in the wedding as well. To rope in the vintage we had all our celebrations at a 16th century guest house called Khasa Kothi that was very conveniently hidden in the heart of the city. We skipped a formal cocktail, just because we wanted to save ourselves from the getting tired due to one more function. Instead we planned a small get together with some our closest friends and planned a roof top party at F-Bar Jaipur.

"Ever since I dreamt of my wedding, the first thing I thought of was my bridal look. I wanted to be the perfect mix of vintage meets modern. I chucked the regular red. Choose a Rani pink lehenga in Raw silk and teamed it with white. Not very many brides would choose any kind of white for their wedding lehenga, but I just wanted to add some relief in my Lehenga instead of going all in the shade. Gajra, lakh bangles and a simple yet very traditional Rajasthani tikka added the much needed vintage vibe. The Rani pink + white added the modern glam vibe.

Being a typical Indian dusky bride, I wanted to flaunt my skin color and not look like a cake fondant. Anu Pardal did magic with her hands and gave me the look that just gave me the much needed happy bridal glow" adds Anubha.

Personal touches at the wedding

  • Save the date invites made by graphicurry- Prasad is really talented and funny and his work reflects the same. Www.graphicurrystore.com
  • My photographer Simran from PhotozAapki came up with this cool idea to use colour bombs for our Mehendi day portraits, and it was just a perfect way to summarize the happy day. These colour bombs were so easy to buy online and it really fun to get clicked with them as well.
  • Roof top bachelor's party instead of a formal full blown cocktail.

My advice to brides:

Always plan a day wedding. It's better I think. And make sure to try out your wedding dress and jewellery at least 15-20 days before your big day.
