WMG Red Carpet Bride at Divani: The Modern Red and Gold Bride

BY The WMG Bride | 19 Aug, 2015 | 3354 views | 2 min read

Red was the color of the season at the Diva'ni store in South Extension, and almost all our red carpet  brides to be got atleast one outfit in that color tone. One of the very first lehengas we spotted was this super simple, but effective georgette lehenga in deep red  with motifs in marigold and a unique bronzey-copper blouse with flared out sleeves.  It was a classic red and gold color tone, but for a modern bride who doesn't want to be weighed down by the weight of a thousand kilos of embroidery.

"Who wants to try it girls" we asked.. and immediately Punya said she was game ! In she was whisked for hair and makeup with our Makeup artist Shruti Sharma giving her  classic red lips and  hair stylist Atul giving her an ultra chic bun with side swept hair.  Photographer Shiv Sharma Photography★ 4.9 snapped away as Punya got a dose of what she could expect at her own wedding ;)

Meet Punya

She stays in Hong Kong and her fiance is in New York. They were both in Delhi for wedding preps , co-incidentally at the same time of the shoot and she got to play dress up for a day!

The maroon lehenga I got to wear was stunning and perfect for a modern Indian Bride! Shruti and her team did an amazing job with hair and make-up and totally transformed my look. Getting my pictures taken by Shiv and channeling my inner Bollywood diva amongst the various murals of YRF films and vintage Bollywood artifacts made me feel nothing short of a Yash Raj Heroine for a day! So worth it!
