Review of Anil Sahu – Wedding Planner (Varanasi) If you're looking for a reliable, professional, and competent wedding planner in Varanasi, I strongly urge you to stay far away from Anil Sahu. My experience with him was nothing short of a complete disaster. He presented himself as a seasoned wedding planner with years of experience and promised the world—lavish setups, unique decor themes, seamless coordination, and an unforgettable event. But what we got was a chaotic, mismanaged mess that turned what should have been the happiest occasion into a stressful nightmare. Firstly, Anil Sahu owns absolutely nothing of his own. Not a single piece of decor, furniture, sound system, lighting equipment, or even basic event supplies. Everything was borrowed, often at the last minute from other vendors, and usually of the poorest quality. He doesn’t even have a reliable team—he hires random workers on a daily basis who are clueless and untrained. The wedding decor was a huge letdown. What he showed us in photos and promised during our discussions was nowhere close to what he actually delivered. The mandap looked like it had been thrown together with leftover materials from another event. The flowers were wilted, the lights were flickering, and the seating arrangements were completely off from what was discussed. There was zero creativity or sense of aesthetic, and the entire venue looked dull and unimpressive. Not only did he fail to deliver on his promises, but he also constantly lied throughout the process. He kept making excuses for delays and mishaps, blaming other vendors, the weather, and even the guests. He refused to take any responsibility. At one point, he even disappeared for hours on the day of the wedding and couldn’t be reached while we were scrambling to fix the mess he left behind. To make matters worse, he overcharged us heavily for every little thing—things that we later found out were borrowed or second-hand and not worth even half the amount he claimed. He presented no proper bills or receipts and tried to manipulate us into paying more at the last moment by claiming there were “extra charges” he hadn’t mentioned earlier. In short, Anil Sahu is the biggest fraud in Varanasi’s wedding planning industry. He talks big but delivers nothing. He is unprofessional, dishonest, unprepared, and completely unreliable. If you value your money, your peace of mind, and your special day, do NOT hire this man or trust him with any event. I regret the day I ever contacted him, and I’m writing this to warn others so they don’t go through the same traumatic experience. Varanasi deserves better than him.

It was our great luck that we found The wedding company in the last minute. It was just 20 days before my wedding that I came across Anil sahu immediately decided to go ahead with them for our wedding planning and it was the best decision that me and my husband made. Even though it was last minute planning the entire team worked hard to make it the best event for us. The entire team was extremely helpful and easily approachable since day 1. They made sure all our needs were taken care of and were ready to provide us with whatever we needed even in the last minute. I personally loved the part where they provide shadow for bride and groom which made the entire workflow tenfolds easier. Refund denied! They asked us to get onboarded multiple times and promised that the amount will be refundable if we change our plans prior to any venue visit. However, once we made the payment and got onboarded on 18th Feb, the team acted super slow and we had the first call after various days. Thereafter, we had a 1 hour long call and gave them a detailed explanation of our requirements alongwith various shortlisted venues. They took 3 days to respond back with just a oneliner quote mentioning the no. Of rooms and the total price. No detailing was provided even after asking multiple times. Eventually, when we did not find them helpful, we requested for a refund of our deposit amount on 4th March. However, now they came up with a new conditionality of claiming the refund within 14 days (which we luckily already are, since feb is 28 days month), which requirement is not even mentioned on their website. Irrespective of the same, they are continuing to deny the refund and have stopped picking our calls. - Shubham Kulshreshtha, Satish Sahu and Rohan Agrawal have been extremely unprofessional post onboarding.

All these photos you see are all fake, this man Anil Sahu is a fraudster, he will take your money and will vanish at the main function, very unprofessional. He basically delegates all the work given to him to a third party, and keeps lying that the team will be coming from Delhi, but he assigns his own friends to complete the task with pathetic english and zero professionalism. Also when I enquired in detail, I got to know this company is not even listed, please do not go on his words, all these 5 star ratings are probably made by him and his friends. Do not pay him before he completes his service.

We are so happy that we decided to partner with the wdding company team to plan our wedding in varanasi We are based in Canada and planned everything from a different time zone with the team who were extremely accommodating when scheduling conversations. In general, we were quite particular with what we wanted and the mr anil sahu & team not only understood our asks and delivered exactly what we had asked for but went over and above in giving us a few awesome surprises. During the wedding, we were completely free of any stresses and hassles and could really enjoy everything we had only dreamt of. One’s wedding is one of the most memorable days of life - and choosing a wedding planner is of the utmost importance. The wedding company by Anil Sahu is a scam. He takes money and disappears on wedding day. He took almost 90% advance for three events mehendi, haldi and wedding. Everything was so unorganized for mehendi and eventually got disappeared on wedding day itself without making payments to vendors. I had to give the money additional money from my pocket because they didn’t get the money from planner. Worst company , unreliable, highly unprofessional, unorganized.. he destroyed my wedding day. Looks like all the positive reviews by him are fake like him. Go to Tourist Bunglow sarnath to confirm what he did for wedding that happened on 22nd Feb to validate my statement.
