In today's age and time, arrange marriages are on the decline. However, there are some arranged marriages that make you believe in soulmates. That is exactly what the story of Vishakha and Yash was. An arranged video call led to love at first sight, and the rest, as they say, is history! Vishakha got married to her soulmate in a gorgeous ceremony where she looked absolutely ethereal in a peachy lehenga! We loved her Haldi outfit as well, radiant white with just a hint of yellow! Mousam Pictures clicked this wedding in the most picturesque manner and captured their love perfectly!
Meet Vishakha & Yash
Vishakha tells us how an arranged marriage turn into love at first sight over video call, "It was actually an arranged marriage. He was in Michigan, US and I was in Mumbai and our parents asked us to connect via text. I didn’t want to get married and had a list of reasons to say no, ready. We spoke for a week and I was sure I’d friend-zoned him until I got my first glimpse of him on video call. I’d dressed shabbily hoping he’d just reject me but one look at him and I disconnected, and ran to the mirror to fix my hair. He texted saying, “You’d seen my pictures already and I know I’m not handsome but did you disconnect because you saw me on video?” Little did he know it was love at first sight!"

From The Bride:
I was quite clear as to the kind of wedding I wanted. It was to be extremely personalized and that's exactly how it was. Personalized to an extend where my kanydaan was done by my in-laws! I had a lot of impractical things I wanted to do. A lot of things were out of my budget. So a few compromises here and there. I had resigned from my job considering that I was moving to the states after the wedding. So I was freelancing at that time, and dedicated 6 month only to planning my big day! From August to December I was dedicated to planning my wedding. I did my shoots on and off that I do for brands. My wedding was in Taj, Nashik. And every month we took a minimum of 2 trips back and forth. So it was crazy hectic for those months. But seeing how beautifully everything worked out, made everything worth the effort.
I also travelled across the country to pick the right outfits for my functions. Also I wore jewellery by designer Rabta by Rahul, who had also designed the wedding kaleera for Deepika Padukone. I was very sure I wanted this for my wedding.

Mousam Pictures. Even before I thought that wedding is in cards for me, I knew that its going to be Mousam & his team who will do my wedding. No matter when I get married, it will be him. I have been in love with his work & followed his work for the longest time. He had also shot me before, so I knew his style of working. Even though I met the team for the first time at the wedding, I was surprised how comfortable they made me feel. They didn't feel like outsiders. They were like friends. They dances with us, enjoyed with us. They became a part of the family. They weren't like vendors who were just here to shoot. You can't shoot with people you aren't comfortable with. These getting ready shots and the bidai, etc are affairs where you wouldn't like random people hovering around you & clicking you when you're crying. We also had a same day edit video that played at the reception. Everyone was tongue tied. WE LOVED IT!
I have previously worked with Vaishnavi Kapadia who has done my hair & make up for shoots. So we both knew each other well and she knew exactly what I wanted. I did not want a typical bridal look. I was aiming for something classy and sober. She was brilliant. She got me ready as a bride in 1 hour. For the reception she took 30 mins. Exceptionally good work. I had a different look for all the functions. It was not a carry forward or anything that looked too similar to the previous functions.
I contacted Mpire Events to plan out my big day & gave them an idea as to what I had in mind. Everything was to the point. Right from the Bollywood theme for sangeet, a jhoola decorated with flowers, phoolon ki holi on Haldi, the perfect aisle on Reception, the flower shower during the welcome & the minutest detail possible. A big big shout out to them!
