About The Wedding

Our wedding was a beautiful blend of Gujarati and Gowda traditions. 
The festivities started with the Haldi and Mehendi at Lalith Ashok’s open lawn, by the poolside. It was a vibrant and colorful celebration, filled with traditional rituals, and happy moments. The Sangeet night was magical! Music, dance, and joyful performances brought both our families together, making it a night to remember. Our wedding and reception took place at Royal Orchid Resort and Convention Centre, Yelahanka. The wedding was rich with Gowda traditions, creating a heartfelt and meaningful ceremony. 

For my wedding, I wore a traditional Kanchipuram silk saree from A S Babushah, and it was everything I had imagined! The rich weave, intricate zari work, and vibrant colors made it feel so special and timeless. The saree draped beautifully, making me feel like a classic South Indian bride. Paired with traditional gold jewelry and elegant makeup, my look perfectly captured the essence of tradition and grace.

For my wedding, I went for a traditional South Indian look, wearing a silk dhoti and shirt. It was simple yet elegant, perfectly in tune with the rituals and traditions of the ceremony. For the reception, I chose a grand sherwani from Manyavar. The intricate embroidery and rich fabric gave it a regal touch, making it the perfect outfit for the occasion.

Venue: Royal Orchid Resort & Convention Centre

We hosted our wedding at Royal Orchid Resort & Convention Centre, Yelahanka, and the venue had a decent space with both a lawn and a banquet hall, which were part of our package. We also booked around 30 rooms for our guests, and while the resort has a good inventory of rooms, the property itself is comparatively old and could use some upkeep. Unfortunately, the service was a letdown, as it didn’t meet our expectations. While the venue was spacious and convenient, better management and service would have made the experience much smoother.

Makeup Artist: Makeup Artist Prafulla Kotary★ 5

I couldn't have chosen a better makeup artist than Prafulla! She handled my makeup for all my wedding events, and it was truly the best decision I made. Right from the start, she was professional, detail-oriented, and easy to work with. She conducted a fantastic trial session, carefully analyzing what suited my face while also considering my preferences. What impressed me the most was how she remembered every little detail and made sure to incorporate them flawlessly on my big day.

Bridal Jewellery: Kandalaa House of Jewellery★ 5

For my wedding, I adorned royal temple-style jewellery, which perfectly complemented my traditional Kanchipuram saree. The intricate gold designs, featuring goddess motifs and temple carvings, added a regal touch, making me feel like a true South Indian bride. For my reception, I opted for a more elegant and modern look with a delicate diamond necklace, paired with matching earrings. The subtle sparkle of the diamonds added just the right amount of sophistication, complementing my lehanga perfectly.
