All eyes may be on the bride—but trust us, the sister of the bride is serving some serious style goals too! That sister was none other than Devanshi, who didn’t just curate the wedding aesthetic to perfection, but absolutely nailed her own looks as well!
From chic pre-wedding events to the grand finale of the big day, Devanshi proved she’s a show-stealer in her own right. Whether she was embracing timeless traditions or rocking contemporary glam, every outfit was thoughtfully planned and styled to perfection. Over to Devanshi as she walks us through each of her wedding looks and shares how she curated her wardrobe for her sister’s big day.
Haldi

For my sister’s Haldi, I wanted something soft, elegant, and rooted in tradition and this peach Sabyasachi lehenga felt like just that. I styled it with open, soft waves and layered uncut diamond jewellery.. a necklace, earrings, maangtikka and bangles… to keep the look regal yet effortless!
Mimosa Brunch

For the Mimosa brunch, I wanted something fresh and romantic- this hand-embroidered Rahul Mishra outfit was everything I imagined. The soft ivory base with multicoloured floral threadwork made it feel like I was wearing a garden in full bloom. It was light, easy to move in, and perfect for a day event under the sun. I was a bit unsure about tying my hair up, but paired with bold studs and a diamond choker, the hairdo actually added that polished touch the outfit needed. Minimal makeup, a flush of pink on the cheeks, and it made me feel my best!
Sufi Night

For my sister’s Sufi Night, I wanted to wear something that felt timeless yet magical and this Abhinav Mishra mirrorwork sharara was just that. The intricate mirror detailing reflected every flicker of candlelight, adding that soft festive glow under the moon. I styled it with soft curls and a classic kundan choker set with matching maang tikka and earrings.. Muted glam makeup, a statement ring, and love for my sister and brother in law :)
Wedding

I wasn’t really searching with a plan. We were hopping from one designer to another, and somewhere in between the madness, I walked into Tarun Tahiliani just to “see what they have.” And then I saw her!
A pastel lehenga from the rack… soft blush, ivory threadwork, and shimmer that looked like morning light. For my sister’s wedding, I didn’t want anything over-the-top. I just wanted to feel like myself a little elegant, a little emotional, and completely present. We added baby pink roses to my hair, kept the makeup fresh, and skipped layers of jewellery just one choker, earrings, and a tiny tikka. That’s all it needed. For her day, I wanted to be the calm in the celebration. And this lehenga made me feel just that.
Ball Party

For my sister’s ball party, this Manish Malhotra outfit did justice.
The outfit was drenched in sequins and pearls, with a halter neckline that made a statement on its own. That’s exactly why I skipped a necklace.. I wanted the neckline to shine without distraction. Instead, I focused on bold diamond earrings, a ruby-stone bracelet, and a matching ring to add contrast and colour. The styling was all about balance.. keeping it glamorous, but not crowded. Hair was kept sleek and makeup was sharp- sculpted cheeks, soft shimmer on the lids, and fluttery lashes to bring it all together. The purple decor, the chandeliers, the sparkle… it all came together like a scene from a movie. And I got to play the part.
After Party
For the after party at my sister’s wedding, I went for something bold- a teal saree gown from Manish Malhotra. The styling was all about contrast, the silhouette was structured like a gown, but flowed like a saree. The fabric hugged just right, with sheer panelling and intricate crystal embroidery! I skipped the necklace to let the high neckline and detailing take center stage. Instead, I chose statement diamond earrings that added just the right sparkle, and a single stone studded cuff. Hair was styled in soft waves with a middle parting to keep the face open, and makeup stayed glowy.. highlighted skin, a hint of pink on the eyes and lips, and lots of mascara. The idea was to feel like a modern-day Jasmine…polished, and powerful!
Wedding Party

I styled this Falguni Shane Peacock gown for a very special night celebrating Diya & Dhruv. I wanted to wear something elegant and this deep wine colour with all the sparkle felt perfect. To match the rich colour, I chose yellow diamond jewellery. The warm yellow tones looked so beautiful with the maroon outfit and added a soft glow to the whole look. Yellow diamonds really stand out in a classy way and made the outfit feel even more special. Loved putting this look together for such a happy occasion!
