Since we both don't live in India, it was hard to plan the wedding virtually. We knew that we wanted a minimalist wedding but as a bride I wanted to go all out with my wedding outfits so that was the main focus for me.

Jaypee was the perfect choice for our wedding because it's super close to my house in Delhi. December is crazy wedding season, so convenience was the most important factor. Besides, Jaypee has amazing food (so relatives won't complain about it later haha!)

For my mehendi I chose a semi-traditional green lehenga by Payal Keyal. I loved the foil detailing on it and I thought it was very unique. For my wedding, I absolutely did not want a traditional red lehenga for the same reasons as not wearing a gown for cocktail - where am I going to wear it again? I looked all over Delhi & Mumbai but couldn't find a non-red one that I liked. I almost gave up hope of finding my perfect wedding outfit until my eyes fell on this beauty by Payal Keyal. I tried it on for fun and I knew it was THE ONE. The color is not the traditional red color that a lot of brides wear. The work is so intricate and classy that I can totally see myself wearing this lehenga again at a close family member or a friend's wedding.
For the cocktail event, I absolutely did not want a gown because I feel like it's a waste! I am not going to wear it again ever in my life. So I picked a pearl embellished lehenga by Natasha Dalal, from Mumbai. I tried on a nude/blush shade of the same lehenga at her boutique but I asked them to make it in a Lilac shade for me. It turned out perfect and it was so light weight which was great because there was a lot of dancing that night!
