A Cool Cross-Culture Goa Wedding Where The Bride Shopped For Outfits & Jewellery Online!

It's not easy to plan a wedding in India as an NRI, and especially not a cross-culture one that has not one but two wedding ceremonies! But Shubhra and Alexander made it happen, and beautifully so! Their Goa wedding was a lovely amalgamation of Indian and American cultures. What we admired was how the bride dished out so many gorgeous looks for the groom and herself, buying most of their outfits and jewellery online! Also special shoutout to the talented Richa Sharma Makeovers who made sure the bride’s makeup was effortless and natural. Take a look at this picture-perfect, relaxed Goa wedding.

"We met in New York City", the bride tells us.

About The Wedding
Our wedding took place on December 8, 2024. Ours was a blend of our cultures showcasing American traditions and ceremonies intertwined with Indian traditions. We went traditional on the American wedding and for the Indian wedding, we had a contemporaneous approach to how the festivities went.
I purchased 80 % of my outfits and 100% of the groom’s outfits online. By far, the best experience I had was with Sunaina Khera who made my gorgeous red sangeet lehenga. For the American wedding, I wore David’s Bridal - the details on the white dress and fit were just outstanding. David’s bridal is a go to store in the U.S. for bridal wear. A big shoutout to Asopalav in Ahmedabad from where I got my Indian wedding lehenga - they have some beautiful lehengas over there. For everything else, we ordered from Pernias Pop up Shop.
