BY Soha | 01 Apr, 2019 | 19583 views | 5 min read

If a Bollywood producer ever decides to make a movie on this couple's story, it would be a BLOCKBUSTER! A 7-year old love story that saw it's share of ups and downs, a little bit of drama, and lots of love, with the couple finally tying the knot in a stunning ceremony! Don't ask us to pick a favorite out of all her wedding looks; each one of them had a unique element that truly won our hearts! And if bling is your thing, we bet this wedding is not going to disappoint! Kudos to the guys at Knotting Bells★ 4.5  for capturing every moment to perfection!

Meet Deepali & Shainal

"We met in college in FYBFM, Jai Hind College where we did not acknowledge each other until a year. He used to send me blackberry messages for quite some time but I never really replied. The first time we ever met was at the entrance gate of the college. My first question to him was "How do you pronounce your name?" Being an unusual name he replied back instantly "Shainal".

Our first ever date was Theobroma over the so very amazing and fattening chipbutty burger! We started dating in the first 2 months of knowing each other. College was an absolute lovey and mushy phase. After college we were both together placed in KPMG where we worked together. Life was easy until my parents were reluctant on both of us getting married. We studied and worked all throughout, but he was never able to make me meet his parents. We almost broke up in October 2017 where he got worried of losing me and then finally convinced his parents to meet with mine. December 2017, our families met and it was literally the remake of 2 states. I waited a long 7 years for him to speak to his parents and never thought we will ever be together. But after all everything fell correctly, and we've been at our happiest since," shares Deepali.

The Wedding

From The Bride

"Our story was a little bit of drama with wholesome love and laughter. A seven year love story that finally came true. With a lot of hardships due to different cultures, it made is almost impossible for us to be together. Our festivities began in 2017, June when we hosted a Roka in NSCI where I wore a gorgeous piece from Aza Fashions. We also hosted an engagement party at Bombay Adda, where I wore this gorgeous, lovable red couture piece by Gaurav Gupta. My make up artist for the day was Afreen Shaikh and she did pure justice. Post this, our wedding celebrations started in the end of 2018. You might not believe it, but I walked down the aisle twice- once for my varmaala on the song "Laal Ishq" from Ram Leela and then again for the pheras on my dad's favorite track "Dilbaro" from Raazi. Our families were reunited like never before. When I walked down the aisle, Shainal couldn't get his eyes of me- it was in that moment that I had goosebumps! And the minute I entered, he leaned in and whispered, "You are the prettiest bride ever". After the varmala, we both, hand in hand, walked to the mandap with tears rolling down our faces. We couldn't believe we actually met in college, fought the world together and here we were. Inseparable. Our 'We Made It' moment!!

A very big special thanks to my makeup artist Shradha- Dolly You Up (Cocktail), Lekha Cut Collective (Mehndi, Sangeet & Wedding) and hair artists (Ritika Hair Stylist & Anita Hair Stylist) who made me literally look unbelievable! I was flooded with compliments at  each function.

My aim was to definitely have a very different look in each function. I am an absolute bling person, but I like having the correct and right amount of bling when I wear one. Cocktail was an absolute scintillating glam look. Sangeet was a graceful, dramatic and fun outfit with tassels that grooved with my moves. For the mehndi, my theme was a pop of love. I had specifically asked for a Rapunzel-like look from the movie Tangled. Lekha & Anita surely didn't leave a chance and gave me a real fairy tale- like look. My wedding was all about my absolute love for traditional red whereas I carried a a bold and classic look for my reception. I cannot not thank my angels in disguise, my mom & sister who chose each and every outfit of mine. All I wanted was to look half as pretty as my mother.

My fiance's outfits were all selected with complete coordination to mine - for the sangeet, we chose a black-on-black embroidered bandhgala in velvet by Rohit Bal- the heritage and most classic fashion designer of all time. His mehndi outfit was absolutely his choice- he always loved Kunal Rawal's poise yet statement looks. We chose a fun pink to match our two genres. For the wedding, his offbeat green outfit spoke for itself with minimalist quilts- all thanks to Team Sabyasachi, they styled him to perfection!", shares Deepali.
